Kris Austin

Head of school

I received my bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and earned my master’s in educational administration from Concordia University Wisconsin.

I taught math and science at a Christian school near Minneapolis before returning to Wisconsin and working for the Port Washington-Saukville School District.

When I was in seventh grade, I began to feel I had “missed something” when I was confirmed. In high school, I found out what I had been missing when a neighbor invited me to her church. I heard the Gospel and received Christ! My involvement with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship helped cement my walk with Christ, shaping me for his purpose.

In 1990 I was part of the team that founded Ozaukee Christian School with just 13 students and have been blessed to serve as Head of School ever since. OCS has made a huge impact on my own sons, molding their hearts, spirits and minds. I am privileged to be a part of this same process for the many students who now enter these doors.

I attend Portview Church in Port Washington. When I am not at school or church, you may find me biking, camping or baking.
